Your future duties and responsibilities
Whether it’s a new grad tech academy or a new grad position, CGI provides a stellar experience for our new grads. The successful candidate will get to learn through dedicated training and on-the-job project-work experience with various technologies related to Java Full Stack Development. The role also expects collaboration with a larger CGI team including domain, Cloud, Banking and other CoEs. When you join CGI, you can expect to:

Required qualifications to be successful in this role

• A post-secondary student who is graduating this year or a recent grad who has graduated within the past 12 months; eligible programs: Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field
• Team player who adapts well to changing needs
• Strong interpersonal skills with an aptitude for innovation
• Excellent written and oral communication skills for interacting with clients and team members
• Relevant work experience including co-ops and internships considered an asset
• Less than 18 months of relevant work experience, excluding co-op and internships
• Strong Object Oriented Programming and Java Full Stack development skills (including Angular, React.js, Node.js, Rest API, etc.)
• Interest in learning new technologies
• Desire to be part of a dynamic Agile team
• Be passionate about continuous improvements

Nice to have:

• Understanding of testing, DevOps methodologies and tools with a focus on Agile
• Exposure to the pipeline, Java Springboard, Kubernetes, OpenShift and cloud deployment
